Considered, when it was released, the best football, [or soccer to you americans but the sport's real name is f-o-o-t-b-a-l-l] Winning Eleven 8 was praised by fans and highly acclaimed by critics yet all of that was just hype. I'll try to wright this as brief and direct as possible so let's go right to the point: the gameplay. I thought it was not bad, in fact it's quite enjoyable, but I did expect a lot better. Here's my big complain about the gameplay: you run for one nanosecond longer you lose the ball's possession, you make a slight wrong turn and you lose the ball again. Also the refereeing can get very frustrating [frustration is the word of order in sports games] specially when you play at a 5 or 6 stars difficulty level because most of the times when your opponents do some incredibly brutal tackles [yes tackles] it goes by like if nothing happened. Regarding the sound, you better turn off the commentators as it will only make you feel more frustrated and angry. Contrasting with the comments, we have the fantastic and very well arranged adept's chants that create a great atmosphere. Overall: Great for a while and good multiplayer yet by far not perfect [but certainly better than any FIFA ever made].
