a great game with a few flaws

User Rating: 7.7 | World Tour Soccer: Challenge Edition PSP
I have recently bought World Tour Soccer for the PSP and i would not recommend anything else.

When you turn it on it seems they put the "Career" mode in the cups section.

A basic analysis for the game is a quick game with no setup at all, exhibition mode, the cups mode and the challenge mode.

The graphics are well done for the small screen, and a handheld console! You can identify a players face and they include shadows in the light, which is a plus.

The cups mode is where you can play with all different teams in there respective cup leagues. For example, you can play as Australia in the Oceania cup. The matches are basic here, with you qualifying for the quarter's, semi's and the final.

In the challenge mode it is very unique to those who have never played World Tour Soccer. As a FIFA man myself, i found this fascinating. You play a regular match but you are awarded points not only for the goals, but for the way you play the game aswell. Your points are totalled up at the end of the game and you can get a Gold, Silver or Bronze score. You can see what points are being awarded because it is right above the players head

Just as a basic idea, missing your tackles, getting your passes intercepted and conceding goals will get points taken away from you but, on the other hand, scoring goals, doing tricks and passing will earn you points.

Sound wise, you get the same tracks when you are setting up your game and any soccer game owner knows, the well known players, like beckham, have there name shouted when scoring a goal but the unknown players have just a scream from the crowd.

If we are speaking about value, i got this game in a pack with my PSP with 2 other games and i would say this is as good as FIFA, and with that being an $80 game (in Australia) definitely purchase this game

Have fun playing.
