Quite a fun game, although it might be dissapointing for veteran 'Wormers'.
Gameplay
The Worms franchise has always been about fun, turn-based, action. Worms 3D brings this back with a bang. The gameplay in Worms 3D brings back some memories from older games like Worms 2.
They have brounght in some new features like using jetpacks to get from place to place, and Wormpot where the computer will randomly choose new game elements into your battle i.e. ( 2x damage).
The gameplay is okay, but nothing new.
Multiplayer
The main aspect... of this game anyway is the multiplayer.
You can play on Xbox Live which is always a blast.
The multiplayer is dissapointing this time around. Worms 3D, for some reason, doesn't hold the authenticity of the original Worms titles.
When playing with your buds on an Xbox, you can only use one controller, and that is unacceptable. No one like passing around the controller after their turn.
Graphics
The graphics are dissapointing. Losing the authenticity of Worms.
While the graphics aren't bad or anything, they just don't fit for this game. You'll be able to tell that right when you pop it in.
Sound
The music is interesting, and doesn't get old fast...but... it doesn't fit the game at all. Usually you will hear this draggy techno music that seems to go on for hours.
The gun sounds are pretty average, giving the original ra-tata-ta-ta of the Uzi, and the vvvvvvvveeeewwww--BOOM of the Bazooka.
The Worms, of course, have always been the real candy in the Worms games. Saying hilarious things with squeaky, whining little voices.
This time around, the worms aren't really their funny selves anymore. While you can still give them a number of languages to speak and accents, it's just not humorous anymore. Half the time you can make out what they're saying.
Overall Worms 3D has major flaws all around that makes this game a real dissapointment.
