When I first bought Worms Forts, i thought it would be a great game, I am a fan of the previous games. I put it in my xbox, and started the tutorial. I was quite upset when I didn't find any of the well loved weapons from the old games, but I still gave it a go. At the very end of the tutorial, I was confronted with a proper match, which I found surprisingly hard, and I actually thought the game was rubbish. I decided I would take the game back. But, the next day, I thought I'd give it another go, and was very pleased I did. It takes a while to develop a technique on how to win, but its actually very simple. So after I finished that, I really got into the missions. The multiplayer is really fun to do, especially with friends, or on Xbox Live. The weapons are new and funny, although some are based on the old ones, like a Hippo which you fly a bit like the super sheep. The storyline is good too, with quite a few jokes in the intro and end to each mission, there are I think 25 missions in all. The graphics are fairly good, I never played Worms 3D, so I cant compare, but I think it was transfered to three dimensions fairly well. However, there are some camera hiccups when the AI are shooting, sometimes you cant see what they're shooting at, and also some parts just go half invisible, but that rarely happens. I was looking forward to new voices, but was dissapointed when I could hardly hear them, and the music was boring also. Still, the sound effects are good. Another problem as well, is that you cant make teams, by which I mean have 4 seperate teams, and pair two of them up, so you're allies. Overall though, the gameplay is very fun, once you get used to it that is, and multiplayer is good too. However, I would recommend renting it first, just incase you dont like it, unless its going cheap. It is a good party game.
