WRC has a few flaws but with fast loading times, and easy to get into gameplay, WRC is good fun.

Of all of the games in my PSP collection, WRC is perfect for gaming on the move. It's quick to load up and within a moments you're racing. The game has all the drivers and cars from the WRC championship giving the game an authentic feel.

To start with you have the 6 main cars to choose from but as you progress through the difficulty levels, more cars will be unlocked. But it was disappointing in a way that the cars you unlock are exactly the same as the ones you had at the start of the game, with only a few modifications. But when you complete the extreme difficulty level, you do get the extreme cars which are hard to control, but very fast.

The graphics I would say are 'open for discussion'. The framerate is very smooth and very fast and the scenery is good to look at, especially in the distance. The cars are nicely modelled and detailed but it's a shame that the windows are tinted and only crack, not smash. Also ghost cars appear on the track as you race, it take getting a bit of used to, but it's a shame they can't be turned off.

The sound is average, but it does an adequate job. But here's where the game falls short:

There is alot of 'pop-up' - so objects like trees, rocks and buildings suddenly appear making the game look carelessly designed.

And there are one or two glitches, like when taking a hairpin, and you turn, the camera angle seldom changes and the game resets your car. I also found when doing a quick rally on stage 1 in Spain, when watching the reply, the textures on the car were taken off.

One thing that must be made clear, is that there are no manual gear boxes or customisation, obviously the game is designed for pure racing without the need for all this playing around in the menus, so this game is good for beginners and people who are starting to play rally games. Simulation fans, may want to stay away from this game and go for Colin McRae Rally 2005 instead (which can be imported from Ebay etc).

All in all, WRC makes a great introduction to rally racing for beginners and while not perfect, the pick up and go gameplay makes up for it.
