Straight to the point, this game was a huge disappointment.
Reasons why:
The graphics were ridiculously last gen. I still have nightmares about "robot faced" Renee Young.
The move sets and CAW options have been nearly the same since the SvR series. No new additions this version either (with the exception of the obvious finshers/signatures of the new roster members).
The removal of the Story Designer, Create a Finisher, Create an Entrance and the inability to pull from my own music files for entrance music (which you could do in WWE '13). Which basically sucked the fun out of the game for me. As well as the fact that most of the music in this game is garbage.
While I didn't have a huge issue with the control set up, this game does have the steepest learning curve of all the games since WWE '12. I pretty much gave up on using submissions.
Some positives:
Loved the inclusion of most of the NXT Roster (even though they omitted some of their best female talent).
The Career mode needs some vast improvement and gets very repetitive. But I like the direction it's headed.
In closing:
I played '13 well into 2015 (on the 360) and enjoyed every second of the hours and hours I put into creating my own federation and my CAW talent pool. I was hoping 2k16 would finally be the "next gen" update I was waiting for. But, with the removal of everything that made that fun, I guess I'll continue to wait.
