NO CONTROLLER VIBRATION?? Still this game has its pros

User Rating: 7.5 | WWE All Stars PS2
Well I finally got my hands on this game, I was expecting this one for long, I feel a bit disappointed anyway.

Graphics & Animation: From what I've read, and it seems like it's real, this one is a port of the PSP version which is sad. Every previous wwe game that was released for both system had their exclusive version, being the ps2 and the wii ones the only who shared the same characteristics. PSP version doesn't have the titantrons, this one has em'. But the graphics are subpar with what the latest ps2 wwe games offered, at least the crowd looks better than the SVR 2011 one. The stage looks a bit smaller than SVR, and the ring is quite wider. The wrestlers are a bit awkward, sometimes their faces loosely resemble them, i.e: the big show. The animation is a bit laggy and clunky sometimes, also I expected more flashy effects. The wrestlers look better on the menu screen than in gameplay itself. Also I noticed that the flashing effects used for signatures and finishers are gone when you fight a match with 3 or more superstars, that's a shame because the ps2 could handle that flawlessly. 6/10

Sound: One of the downfalls of this game, that annoying mat sound it's disgusting as it sound louder than the strikes sound, and every step you take, every move you do, you hear that *TUM TUM TUM*. The comments are accurate.Another annoying thing is the wrestlers grunting, they all do the same sounds that were probably recorded by a caveman.
6/10

Gameplay & Control: Another downstep here, the game is a bit laggy. You can't feel the difference between weak and powerful attacks mainly because THERE'S NO CONTROLLER VIBRATION. How is this possible?? One of the things that gave the feel of power to all the wwe games, is not present here. Sometimes the controls are a bit unresponsive, specially the X button. I had to tap it twice in some occassions so my character would start the grapple animation, and it's not a problem of my joystick it works fine with every other game. The game resembles too much TNA Impact.
7/10

Game Modes: This game is resembling an arcadish style, still it lacks some modes. I would have liked a more in-depth story mode, so a replay value could have been added to this game. Every other modes are ok. Create a Superstar is too basic, I would have liked more additions.
8/10

Overall: It's a good game, could have been better of course if it wasn't for the laziness of porting an inferior system game into the ps2. I know the ps2 is on it's final days, but I saw here at gamespot, where you can see the price of the game, once that it was sold-out. There's still plenty of ppl using this console, there's no need to force the whole market into the next-gen systems. Just let it flow. It's fun to play this one with friends, more than with the CPU.
This is like wrestlemania arcade, but updated and with a new roster.
It's a fun experience recommended only for wrestling fans. It resembles a lot that old fashioned hot-seat action of some old pc games. So I give this one a 7.5/10.
