This game truly is the pinnacle of Gamecube wrestling games, and it should not be missed.

User Rating: 9.1 | WWE Day of Reckoning GC
With the use of old AKI techniques, as well as an incredibly robust create-a-superstar feature, Day of Reckoning is without a doubt the Gamecube game any wrestling fan should own(even if you got the Wii). I won't go too much into detail...let me just say that the gameplay is very satisfying. In addition to the AKI-style engine implemented in Wrestlemania XIX, there is also some great additions in the Momentum Shift, which allows you to turn the tide of a match if you are pretty much out of it, and the weight system, which brings up a meter which allows you to potentially lift larger opponents.

Graphically, the characters all look quite well done, and the textures actually seem right for the first time ever. The presentation really seems like a broadcast, despite no commentary or ring announcers.

Soundwise, everything sounds realistic, and DOR has a very good soundtrack attached to it, as opposed to what XIX and HCTP had to offer(in fact, this soundtrack is also included in SvR1, with a few additions).

There is a ton of replay value here as well. The story mode is definetly linear, and goes the same way whether you go to RAW or Smackdown, but that is not where the fun is. The main fun are in the exhibition mode and create-a-superstar mode. In the CAS mode, you can literally make anyone you can think of to perfection(trust me, I saw someome make Giga Bowser on DOR, it's quite scary). The exhibition is definetly fun, no matter which match type you go into....and you can actually do a rumble with all created wrestlers! :D

All in all, if you have a Gamecube or a Wii, get DOR and play it until your brain explodes....LITERALLY!!!
