Improved graphics, great new gameplay mechanics, GM mode, now wheres the multyplayer season.
The good: Great new gameplay mechanics, Awsome graphics, G.M. Mode, Full voice over, interesting season, ok commentary.
The bad: G.M. Mode, season, CAW(create-a-wrestler), females, wheres the sounds.
Alright even though I rated it high that just means what here is awsome but still there could have been so much more. Im gonna make this brief alright just a short overview of each thing for more info on gameplay read my HCTP review.
OK so gameplay improvments. Great new countering stuff, I like the back and forth. Improved AI makes match's more interesting. Stamina is awsome for strategy and making match's more interesting. Cage match is great with the new stuff including the cage door. Mini games are less annoying. Fyf match is a waste of time. Buried alive is fun for a while but doesnt have enough stuff to make it really stand out. Attacl system works but the whole system of choosing what category is stupid I want all moves for everything.
Graphics look really good for the most part. Animations are really good even if some are just more of the same its ok because they were great before too. As for the connection of things its still off pretty bad. Alot of wierd glitch's occur with the new sleeper system where the one persons arm goes through there head. As for the CAWs. They need some sort of new system because even though they may have improved the face the bodies look like crap still. They have low texture and the clothes have the painted look again. But nothing suffers worse then the female CAWs. Not only are they completely limited but the cloths always look bad. Everything else looks extremely good though almost hard to believe its PS2 seeing as PS2 is suppose to be so "weak" and so on.
As for sound it is alot better. Great voice work from everyone. The commentary needs some work though they like to chout look at that counter too much, and why do Tazz and Cole do commentary on EVERYTHING including RAW brand PPV Vengance(sp?). I mean sure Girlpants is funny but everytime I hear Look at that Finnishing manuver(sp?) I just want to go to the announce table and beat the hell out of the little f^cker(please add that in yukes). Also where are the sounds. Alot of the sounds from SvR1 are missing why is there no more sound when glass breaks in the Elimination Chamber its like its vannished. Another big big big problem is the soundtrack its almost as bad if not worse then HCTP. Stupid rap crap not even music its so horrible. NEVER do that again THQ. A horrible joke, bumpy knucles or whatever is stupid put more static X in.
For the most part its like an update of HCTP with better graphics and a few new things to keep it interesting for awhile. Even though there are a few problems with things. I hope to also see alot more better things from the GM mode because the computer is really cheap and stupid. My biggest problem though is the fact that females can only go into like 7 match types maybe even less. Who came up with this Divas cant do sh!t idea. I want my created females to be able to compete in everything esspecially now that the divas have much better stats than before its about time they get to do something.
Overall everything is pretty cool and lots of fun. Lots of stuff to do and see. A must own for those who liked HCTP and SvR or are just wrestling fans. Oh and John Cena sucks and will never be good not even with his STF-U which is also a stupid more just like the F-U. KANE IS GOING TO KILL YOU CENA, TOMORROW BAHAHAHAHAHA.
