Very few games are flawlessly built and it's the intangibles of a title are what helps gives it that extra push that can make or break a game. And WWE's Raw vs Smackdown 2007 isn't without flaw. Though in this case, and as "corny" as it sounds, the story lines are compelling enough to keep you wrestling from from cut screen to cut screen, and the various environmental hotspots and match types allow you to enjoy the wrestling matches as well. Now, here are a few of my minor gripes that I do have about this game. First, would have to be the collision physics (which aren't as bad as some would let on). Also, the disparity in the different difficulty levels (Easy is way too easy, and Normal is sometimes too hard, especially in certain match types) . Plus, some matches can be easily one-sided depending on the momentum meter, and the moves performed. This leads to very short matches in some cases. Though, in some instances, the AI will kick out, even after a Finishing Move is performed. Also, the load screen appears very frequently and for what seems to be long periods of time each time it appears. Lastly, with all the different match types that are available in exhibition mode, there really isn't a lot of variety present in matches that are selected for you in Season Mode.
That said, WWE RvsS is one of the best wrestling games to-date despite a few seemingly minor flaws. The interactive environments and hotspots are well performed. The graphics and player intros are gorgeous. The locker room is filled with a lot of unlockable content and the unlockable characters are of a decent assortment. This game is a definite for any wrestling fan, and for any gamer that is just looking for a fun, enjoyable, and light-heat ed gaming experience.
