Some ppl didn't gave a dime about this one... they were wrong
First than all, you see a more simplistic designed menu than the previous one wich I like, I found 2009's menu just horrible.
Of course the ps2 has some limited features compared to his big brother version, but it has an advantage in the brand new Create A Storyline mode, where you can create your own storylines and revive those good old attitude era days where bad and funny words populated the wwe/f, the ps3 version had a limitation about how many CAWs you could use, the ps2 version doesn't have that restriction so you can make an entire original plot involving only your creations.
Create a Finisher is back, now you can make diving finishers but there's nothing fancy about it, it's kinda the same as previous year edition.
Despite some of the outdated roster and some reused models, the games presentation is really good, the new elimination system for the royal rumble is fun but I found that's pretty easy to start as nÂș1 and win the rumble with this new system.
Road to wrestlemania is back with some new stories, and now you can play an story using your CAW, sadly you can't use a created diva to play it.
Sadly Stone Cold Steve Austin isn't in the game, the ps3/360 versions have it a DLC, but the ps2 doesn't have it but you can create it since the video, music and moves are in there but it will be a pain in the *** to raise his stats.
The game has some glitches anyway, sometimes the crowd doesn't cheer or boo to your wrestler, I had some sound glitch using the people's elbow with The Rock (yes the ppls champ is unlockable), another glitch occurs sometimes when you pick up your opponent from the ground our character goes thin and then pops-up to his normal self a really funny glitch that makes me remember those old cartoons like merrie melodies XD.Also your CAW Road to wrestlemania has a glitch, if you change the default moveset before the fatal 4 way match the game will freeze.Sometimes I heard other people complaining about the game freezing in some hell in a cell when doing a stunner in the roof of the cell.
Despite all those bugs is a very enjoyable game, and what make it better is the simplified hud, now you only have your momentum bar at the feet of you wrestler, and the counters now are done only with r2 so you wouldn't confuse grapple reversal with strike reversal but now the timing is more precise.
Bottom Line, if you only got the ps2 get this game and you wouldn't regret it.
