SmackDown! vs. Raw is a great game, but it hasn't changed much since Shut Your Mouth.

WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw is still the same SmackDown! game you know from the past, only they changed the name in 2004. Still SmackDown! vs. Raw plays on the same engine, and that's not a bad thing, because it works really well. The only thing that keeps this game from being truly superb is that the series hasn't changed since WWE SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth. There's not that big of a difference between Shut Your Mouth, Here Comes The Pain or SmackDown vs. Raw. They're all pretty much the same. Every game does of course bring you some new stuff, but it's not really enough. Of course the rosters are also updated and you get some new superstars, but still the game is just the same. There's not that big of a difference as there was between WWF SmackDown! Just Bring It and WWE SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth. Still this is really a great wrestling game and probably all WWE fans are going to like it. The season mode is better in this game, many WWE superstars have done they're voice for the game, but some of them did a poor job. It just feels like they were doing something they didn't want to do. It felt as if the superstars were bored. And the superstar you choice to play as in the season mode doesn't have a voice at all, so you'll see just the subtitles as you saw in previous SmackDown! games. This game is better than all of the Xbox wrestling games. Maybe not graphically but still gameplay is the most important thing and this game plays very good. If they combined the gameplay from this game and the graphics from WWE WrestleMania 21, it would've really been a superb wrestling game.
