WWE Wrestlemania X8 is the first WWE game for the Nintendo GameCube and it is a good game with a few flaws in it. The graphics for Wrestlemania X8 is pretty good overall even though the people in the audience that is close to the ring look like cardboard cut outs. Wrestlemania X8 has got a good list of matches from the cage match to the hardcore match. The Royal Rumble match in the exhibition mode is the hardest match to beat. The game play is descent but the main gripe is that the finishers that each superstar can be once one of the finisher meters is filled up. It has a Path of a Champion mode where you can compete for the WWF title, the Intercontinental title, the European title, the Hardcore title, the Light Heavyweight title, and the Tag Team title. The one down side of playing Path of a Champion is that it will not take you long to win all six championships, regardless of the difficulty setting. Another mode is the Battle for the Belt which is shorter than Path of a Champion and it is pointless. The music is the weak point of Wrestlemania X8 and one of the things that's noticeable is that not all of the superstars have their original entrance music. WWE Wrestlemania X8 is a pretty good game despite of the flaws.
