Best WWF game ever!!
Gameplay 8/10
The gameplay in WWF WrestleMania X8 is very good, not like WWF RAW or WWE RAW 2, where you press a button, lock up with your opponent and press another button to inialize the grapple. This is more like WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW where you press a button and a direction and the grapple inializes, however the reversals can be a bit tricky at times, especially if you've played WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW recently before playing WWF WrestleMania X8, the reversal buttons are the R trigger and L trigger(just like SvR), but SvR's reversals are: R to reverse gapples and L to reverse strikes, whereas WWF WrestleMania X8' reversals are: R to reverse strikes and L to reverse grapples, it can be confusing at times, but sill playable.
Sound 9.5/10
The sound quality in WWF WrestleMania X8 is AMAZING! the music sounds like it's from a CD, and the crowd sounds realistic, however, lack of announcers and commentators for a wrestling game this modern gives it a 0.5 point loss.
Graphics 9/10
The graphics on this game for a GameCube are amazing...just amazing, the wrestlers look just like their real-life counterparts, the arenas are amzing quality and the entrance videos are DVD quality, this is THE BEST looking WWF game ever made.
Roster 9/10
The roster in WWF WrestleMania X8 is pretty good, I mean you got ALL the big names from the World Wrestling Federation. Triple H, Chris Beniot, Edge, Trish Stratus, and the Lovely Stephanie McMahon(yes, I have a bit of a crush on Stephanie McMahon), very good roster.

Ok, this is where WWF WrestleMania X8 lacks, while there is a good selection of match types, like Cage, Hell in a Cell and many many more, the other game modes pretty much suck. There is path of a Champion mode whih is the closest thing you get to Season mode, you pick a superstar and a Belt to go after, and go through about 20+ matches, which start out easy, 1v1 matches, then get progessively harder, going from 1v1 matches to Triple Threat matches, then Fatal 4-Way matches, and Then the last match is for the championship you chose at the beginning of POAC mode, and that is the only way to change champions in WWF WrestleMania X8 and the only way to unlock new wrestlers is to win POAC mode, and there is also Battle for the Belts mode, whch is essentialy POAC mode, only for a custom belt that you can customize after winning it. Create-A-Wrestler mode is not as customizable as SvR 08 or WWE RAW 2, but still good.
Overall 9/10
This game gets a 9 out of 10 from me, It is well worth the $10 you'll pay for it, and is a essential game for any WWF fan! it is, by far, THE BEST WWF game yet!
