Once the N64 seemed to be king of the wrestling games with WWF No Mercy. Though under appreciated many hardcore wrestling fans enjoyed the game for what it was and featured backstage fighting that moved seamlessly.

Wrestlemania X8 tries to do the same, but instead rips off the Aki WWF wrestling games with the whole wrestling system. Everything about it, right down to the graphics (which were given a small face lift for Gamecube standards) seems taken right from those Aki wrestling games. Not to mention many of the features on the Aki ones seems to have been taken away or just downgraded.

Nothing special about the game besides multiplayer, but even still that's a rip off of No Mercy.

Just play it if you can't find Ultimate Muscle (from Aki for the Gamecube), but don't expect anything too revolutionary or great within Wrestlemania.
