Acclaim made wreslting fun! This wasn't...

I remember one of my first 3D wrestling games; WWF Warzone for N64. It was good, but then WWF Attitude came out and I loved that even more. Why? Because you could beat someone so much, they'd bleed. You could do a ton of moves, the create a character was fun, and the graphics weren't half bad for back then. Plus, most everything was totally new (like stage creation and etc.).

WWE Wrestlemania X8 missed on so much of the classic wrestling games. There's no blood, a load of clipping errors, and the sounds are really, really generic. When I punch someone, I expect to be hard hitting, not slapping someone like a sissy. I love the moves though. There's a ton of good moves but still, man, this game just isn't worth it. The screen shots on the back looked great. I buy every wrestling game and I was really sad this was boring.

The sounds are probably the worse thing in the game. The character's look like the people (sometimes) but the sounds are like this: if you had a soundboard that you could click with 20 different things, that would be it. The 20 sounds on the soundboard also include the numbers 1 through 10.

Pros:
Hulk Hogan is in it; Create a character wasn't that boring.

Cons:
Graphics weren't that good when it first came out; Sounds are weak!; Controls are even bad; Boring gameplay that makes you scream.

Overall:
Get a Dreamcast and get WWF Attitude. RIP Wreslting games.
