The only reason I am posting a review on this game is because the fool who reviewed this game so many years ago finished off by saying that the game engine is old and that there should be a new game engine. Funny thing is people dont know a good thing when they have it, here close to the end of 2009 almost 10 years later wrestling fans are screaming out for a new No-Mercy engine wrestling game. Smack down fights just go by way, way, way, way to fast unless you do a six man ladder match. I know this is wrestlemania 2000 but No Mercy was and still is the best wrestling game out there. The people at Yukes should get together with Syn-Sophia (previously AKI) and make a wrestling game together. The things I miss the most are the life like wrestling matches. Meaning in the WWE one wrestler might get whopped the entire match and should defanatly loose but something happens and he ends up winning. The No Mercy engine allowed for this, making the game much more entertaining and realistic to the actual brand. With Smackdown 2009 and all the others this is impossible. You will never ever win if you constantly get whoped from the beginning of the match. This part of wrestling is a staple for the storylines in wrestling. I can think of many memorable moments where Hogan should not have won. He got whopped the entire match set aside only a few moments, then he pulls a rabbit out of his hat (a figure of speech) and wins. I miss not being able to do this, ever ever ever in the newer wrestling games. We need a new Syn-Sophia wrestling game.
