X-Men Legends II delivers with a solid story familiar to fans, but falls short in the graphics/gameplay area on the PSP.

I was impressed with the ability of the handheld to handle such a rich graphical game initially, up until the point where the action started to get fierce and the game bogged down and got choppy. It seems the PSP just did not have the horsepower to handle the game at certain times, especially after area loads, but also at critical fights in the game.
Overall the experience is similar to the original Legends. The enhancements in moving to different mission areas are welcome as is the more open nature of power selection. The story line is top notch and will be familiar to fans of the comics.
If you liked the first, I think you will look past the glitches in gameplay graphics. If you are new to the series, it might turn you off entirely.
My recommendation would be to buy if you are a hardcore fan and have to have a portable version. Otherwise, look to one of the full size consoles to satisfy your need and avoid the problems experienced on the PSP.
