Great RPG/Beat EM Up with much to offer, but it's a bit shallow...

This game is awesome, and I love it. I have been playing it a lot, and I have gotten a lot out of it so far, and with the switchable x-men and the brotherhood members, you have a lot going for it. This game offers a broad range of power selections, and combos, but eventually the fighting becomes very repititious, and redundant, and it becomes a chore. It's almost as if it becomes something you have to do. The missions are fun, and so is the trivial game, but it's not bound to last long. I like this game a lot, but I wish I had rented it first. At this time, I am pleased with the purchase I made, I only wish I had gone with PoPoLoCrois, and had something that would be interesting, and fun like the other classic RPGs out there. I like this game's soundtrack, and it fits the game well. The level designs are actually very beautiful, and the graphics are crisp and clear, except for when the camera is moving along the screen. Then a nasty blur appears that often makes it tough to spot those pesky enemies that blend into the scenery. This game has great graphics, that almost meet the standard of the PS2, and it's got a lot going for it, it just lacks the depth that makes an RPG what it is. The beat em up style is probably not what hardcore RPG fans are looking for, rather this game is for those who prefer the Champions of Norrath feel to their games. Rent it before you buy it.
