If you are a wolverine fan, you owe it to yourself to play this game
Graphics: Not mind blowing but surely pretty. The feral sense mode not only shows where the hell you need to go but also playing in that mode is quite exciting. If you have seen any cut scene from the game the pre-rendered Jackman may not look like Jackman but the real time Jackman(in-game) looks almost the same. The environments in this game are nicely varied from jungles, icy mountains to science labs. The recovery system is also modeled very well in the game, at times showing the entire skeleton of wolverine with flesh slowly regenerating.
Game play: Combat in this game is lot of fun with enough blood and gore. This game has taken its inspirations from many games like God of war, Tomb raider etc. Solid combat occasionally broken up by simple environment puzzles provides a decent experience. Boss fights are lengthy but rewarding. The RPG elements in the game also work well with wolverine getting more and more stronger.
Sound: Stellar voice acting with great sound affects make this game sound absolutely brilliant. I don't know how many movie actors recorded their voice to the game but surely most of their voices sound the same.
Story: I am not commenting about the story as I didn't understand any part of it. Frequent flashbacks and flash forwards made me nauseated and I couldn't care less about the story as I'm not a big X-Men fan.
The problem with the most games that rely on brutality and blood is that they have to up the ante towards the very final fight of the game and this is what executed very well in Wolverine at least up to 2/3rd of the game. You will face a gigantic robot at the end of chapter 3 and the game after that feels tacked on with a lot of repetition. After chapter 3 you might spend another 3-4 hours which spoils the game experience that it has offered till then. Overall the game takes you roughly around 15-20 hours of game play and it surely is lengthy considering the modern single player standards. Buy this game or rent this at least, but you surely need to play this game.
