No where near the best X-Men game ever made, but basicly gives you what you will be looking for, jut not enough of it.
But it doesn't change how fun this game is. There may not be enough levels, but they are very fun to run though.
The Iceman game play is very original, most will complain that it sucks (as they have) or that it's too hard. And why will they do this? Because its basically not something you see in most games. Yet people complain when things are the same,. But give them something new........
Nightcrawler is everything you can want from the controller, he is more than button mashing cause you gotta think about what your doing as you do it, and you will get to do what you want to do, every fight is just as good as the Whitehouse scene at the beginning of X2.
Wolverine....as hard as it is to say this, you should spend the $2.99 at GameStop and go buy Wolverines Revenge if you want to run around as Wolverine, and that's saying a lot. He moves slow, you gotta get real close to attack, it's all pointless button mashing on his part. He may have a bunch of stupid combos, that hit 3, 4, or 5 times, but why do this when all ya gotta do is hit Y twice for a double power hit and it has more affect than the 4 or 5 hit combos? And it all just looks fake to boot. Its sad, but its the truth.
This may not be a great game, but when this dam site gives King Kong a dam 8.5 on X-Box, I do not know how this game can get a 5.6, its just ridiculous, since people WILL be spending more time on this games levels over again than they ever will on Kong.
Last but not least, the cut scenes. They just plane suck. think about how bad they were in Need For Speed Most Wanted, to say they least you will appreciate Most Wanted a WHOLE lot more and this makes the game as a whole bad. But it does not change how the game is in other areas, which is why it never deserved the low ratings it is getting. The worst of all is these low ratings will cause the game to not sell well, just like it did with Wolverines Revenge, and this means less money for the developers, which will mean more games with the X-Men title that will not be as good as they could have been.
