Another X-men title that doesnt live up to its potential like the movies.

User Rating: 5.5 | X-Men: The Official Game PS2
The game is 'based' on the new and high awaited x-men the last stand, but this game should be the last stand in the x-men series unless they take a positive turn.

The game doesnt really consist of animation like the others did so if your looking for that go back to the other two x-men games. While detailed the graphics are what you would expect from any play station game and nothing is really outstanding.

The voices were probably one of the most positive thing. I felt that most of the voices were well done and strong. The music wasnt anything special at part i enjoyed the connection back to the original music of the x-men.

The game play is hard to say whats good and bad because its really mixed emotions. In the basic form your going to be learned 3 differant styles of the game which all have different styles of playing. So once your in a grove your going to stay with that character until forced to use the others. This can be aggrevating at time when you are use to one and have to use a whole new command style. The camera angle can be a hassle at time as well which takes away from the game play. The game though can be fun and addicting once you get use to a character. Also the difficulty is dependent on the player and what they feel they might be ready for.

Overall it was a ok game i would say to rent it and not buy it. This is going to be a you like it or hate is style of game.
