Wolverine's Revenge can be frustrating at times, but it is the most authentic Wolverine experience available to date.

Wolverine's Revenge is a difficult game. In fact, it became very frustrating at some points. I played the entire game, not because the game is good, but because you get to play as Wolverine. Wolverine has always been my favorite comic book character, so I figured that I needed this game. That's about the only reason I could think of for someone to play it. Wolverine is hard to control at times... He is unwieldy, and sometimes not responsive. At times the AI is way to difficult. You do, however, get to kick @$$ in a style unique to Wolverine. By positioning enemies around you in a certain formation, you can execute a "strike" move by pressing one button. These moves are really cool looking, and there are many different ones. You also get 4-levels of them as you move through the game. There are a few other unlockables as well. These include costumes which you can use throughout the game and "cerebro files" on each character. The costumes are a neat addition because you get all the classic costumes. The cerebro files offer information on important characters that you will meet. The neat thing about the Cerebro files is that they are voiced by Patrick Stewart, Professor X himself! And the voice talent continues throughout the game. Wolvie is voiced by none other than Mark Hamill, everyone's favorite Jedi. Unfortunately, the graphics are not as strong. The environments do not look very realistic due to the graphics. If you can beat the game, you get a couple of neat cut scenes, including a cameo by Spider-Man!!! Chances are, however, that you won't WANT to beat the game. The game play and difficulty will quickly turn you away from it.
