The last, final and best chapter in X-Universe series

User Rating: 9.5 | X3: Terran Conflict PC
X-universe started at the end of the previous millennium with the game X-Beyond The Frontier (1999) followed by X-tension and later with X2-The Threat(2003) and X3-Reunion(2005).
The end in this exceptional series by Egosoft, a small studio in Würselen-Germany, come in this title X3-Terran Conflict.

The last addition seems the most solid of all series with better user interface, more flexible mission handling and several plot/storyline aspects which was missing from the previous games. Hardcore gamers don't need to worry, the sandbox is still there and obviously one can forget about any plot and do his thing without worry.
I have spent more than 300 hours on this, and that says a lot about the game's potential.

I really don't like the word "simulation" in the genre description but definitely its wrong to classified as combat sim! It is not. Combat is an essential gameplay aspect but its only a part. Trade and building is also there and the things one can do is literally endless. Lets say that you can dominate the game without shot a single round in-game. But also dominate without built anything. Most will do both and will have two times the fun!
Futuristic and sci-fi fans must be carefull. This game has nothing to do with Freespace, Darkstar One or Freelancer. Its a different approach and its complexity is the thing that make so many people love it and others hate it. The learning curve remains stiff but this time the manual is actually good! And there's also a tutorial in-game!

The game at this time is in version 2.0 which corrects numerous bugs/problems and add a complete new plot/storyline as free download content called Aldrin Missions. A new 2.1 patch is in beta as we speak for more corrections and additions.
Also the fabulous community and the modifications available already are enough for every one while the included editor is difficult to use but very very powerful.

One of the best trade-built and combat simulations from the time of Elite:Frontier is here. This is the last of the series as Egosoft stated, so serious gamers must check it, while is a must for every space and sci-fi fan!
