I have never quite played a game like XCOM ever before in my life! This game is truly amazing and masterfully crafted.

XCOM is a unique and fresh new experience that I have been deeply seeking as an avid gamer. I would say I have played a lot of games on a regular basis and this game, by far, standouts from the rest of the endless sea of software. I would recommend this game to skilled tactical players or even people looking to break into this type of gaming strategy genre. XCOM has RPG elements, such as character customization, researchable upgrades and skill progression trees, that get you sentimentally attached to your soldiers. I can't even remember the last time I actually cared about dying in game other than the frustration of starting back at a check point. However, Firaxis allows permadeath in the game; which makes losing soldiers almost unbearable. No matter what you may think, know this, this game is worth the price of $60. Kudos to everyone that made this game, thank you.
