The game is kinda confusing at first and it really seems like it is just your average RPG,this all changes very quickly. This game has the storyline of a blockbuster and the overal gameplay that deserves to be known throughout the universe. The game is in no way comparable to xenosaga though the attacks in xenosaga are more amazing graphically the overal style of the old school xenogears is much more impressing . The games only similarity to xenosaga is the combat system and xenogears does it so much better. The attacks range from basic combat attacks to an amazing show of power that will completly blow you mind. Then yu have the gears the show stopping untouchable machines that (if made properly) can obliterate anything that dares to stand in your way. Though buying weapons and ammo for them is kinda annoying, a well stocked veteran can easily turn this into advantage (though i aint tellin yu how) The game overal features jusrt about every other mechanic of modern RPG's this game is the best rpg on the Playstation (the only comparison is FFVII) and even that in my opinion isnt as good pick this game up NOW PERIOD NO BUTTS you cannot be disapointed
