One of the best vertical shoot-em-ups around.
What? You want more? Don't be such a wuss and get back to shooting them aliens!
Seriously it is that simple. But don't think it's going to be a walk in the park. This is one of the most devilishly difficult shooters out there. Full of large bosses and hordes of smaller enemies and all you have to fight back is a rather weedy spaceship. Well, it starts off weedy but after picking up some power-ups and buying a few more from the inter-level shop you can transform this pram into a death dealing behemoth capable of taking on anything in its path. :)
Graphics are supplied by the Bitmap Brothers so you can expect everything to look metallic with tones of gorgeous grey and beautiful brown. No seriously, that is correct and it makes it look bloody marvellous. Coding was done by the Assembly Line so you can expect smooth scrolling and no glitches. The music is courtesy of Tim Simenon (of Bomb The Bass) so, again, the sound is superb. One novel feature of the game allows you to reverse the scrolling of the level for a very short time to allow you to traverse some of the trickier scenery i.e. dead ends.
What more could you ask for?
Originally produced for the 16 bit home computers this has seen a port to most major platforms of the time.
