Is this even the same game?

Okay, I have to admit, if you have played the first game, you will wonder if this title was even developed by the same company. They have completely redone the the battle system. You remember all of those special attacks you worked to build up in the first game???? Well, you can say goodbye to them. They are no more. These are replaced instead by special combo attacks which can only be initiated when multiple characters work in tandem to make the attacks happen. You remember how the first came was 1 line of ppl fighting another line face to face. Yeah, well, this is changed too. You can now split your party and attack head on with 1 character while another attacks from the back. However, the enemies can do the same, and who gets to do th is in a fight is determined at random when an encounter begins. While the game is totally different than the first, that doesn't mean it's not worthy. Once you get used to it it's really not all that bad. It further developes the story you began in the first came and gives you a deeper background into the characters. This is especially true with Junior, his big brother, and Albedo. The game also has a line of mini-quests where you help NPC's around the game. The whole encoded red door bit is still around just like the previous game so there won't really be any relearning here. I have to admit I have lost interest in the game and have as yet to finish it myself.
