It's amazing affects quickly begin to wear off as soon as its repetiveness sets in.

As being an Extreme-G fan since its appearance on the N64, this title at first glance meets all my expectations, fast speed, great sound, and close, action-filled races. I even remember the first time I broke the speed of sound; it was so amazing I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

As the races went on, I started breaking the speed of sound more and more, becoming addicted to the immense sense of speed it gave me. Then after more races, I found myself running an entire race, breaking the speed of sound constantly at every moment, it became a really annoying, unbalanced effect that just took the fun out of racing at all. Not to mention the difficulty of the game, usually I'm all for it, but not when you have to keep starting the campaign over because your stuck on a track forever from the lack of funds you earned the race before to hop up your ride.

The biggest feature you'll notice gone from this game is the Battle mode; which left me scratching my head for answers, since the battle mode was one of the best parts about XG's multi-player. This title should have and could have been a very good game, but it just seems they were to interested in making really great mechanics and features with out properly balancing the game to make it enjoyable.

Extreme-G 3 had the power, but just lacked balance to make sure the game is enjoyable throughout. The most hard core Extreme-G fans are bound to be let down, but only after they invested a few hours into it.
