Stick with the reruns of the show

I remember a few years ago a show called Xiaolin Showdown was on TV. I barely cared for it and only watched it if nothing else was on. I then received a game based on this show as a late birthday gift from a friend. But I think it was some early April Fool's joke.

I'll give you a quick rundown of the plot for both the game and show, 4 young monks from all over the world band together to find artifacts called shen gong wu and keep them out of the hands of evil. You can choose any of the 4 monks to play and it is a 4-player game, and you can choose one of the shen gong wu as your special abilities. Now that's all fine and good but the problems start immediately in the first level, if you play by yourself, then the computer takes control of the other 3 monks and fights the enemies but you or your allies can hurt each other with your basic moves and using a shen gong wu can cause you and your allies to be immobile for a couple of seconds. Each mission is the same, beat up the enemies, collect three parts of a scroll, and get the shen gong wu. But if you worry about being hurt by a teammate or hurting one of them don't worry, YOU CAN'T DIE! You seriously can't die in this game, you can just stand around and not do anything in this game even with enemies all over you and pounding the crap out of you, that is no joke. I had to take the trash out of my room and left the game unpaused with enemies pounding me like mad, when I came back my allies took care of them and I just had to collect the scroll piece, where's the fun in that. It is the same for the bosses as well, you can stand around and do nothing and your allies will do the job. After collecting a shen gong wu, you go into a Xiaolin Showdown and wager your shen gong wu against the other but again your allies can hurt you in the challenge. You need to collect coins as you go to buy other shen gong wu but your allies can steal them from you and won't go to your total amount, are they allies or thieves? Also when could you just buy shen gong wu?

I managed to give this game back to my friend and he was shocked to hear how bad the game was and gave me an Xbox game instead. This game is just boring overall, the fact that you have unlimited health means there is no challenge, your allies act like jerks, the gameplay is repetitive, and the voices sound bad and nothing like the characters from the show. If you happen to come across this game, just leave it at the bottom of the bargain bin or at the very back of a game shelf and never look back upon it, unless you want to be bored out of your wits, just stick with the TV show reruns, if they show it, it at least had some entertainment which can be more than said for this game.
