Welcome to Kamurocho, enjoy your long and varied stay. And don't forget to watch out for troublesome-looking thugs.
Yakuza 4 is serious, funny, intriguing, immersive, rewarding, challenging, and sometimes aggravating.
If you have played any other Yakuza game before this, it is technically the same, there is next to no new mechanics. The few features that are new include four playable characters, online rankings for the mini-games and a hostess maker mini game.
Yet, if you haven't played any game in the series, this is the perfect game to get into. That's because this is the funniest, most entertaining, and has the best story yet. And like Yakuza 3, it has a reminisce feature that lets you catch up on he story so far.
So if you think you know every RPG out there, and don't like the thought of playing magical beings in a floating city, I wholeheartedly recommend you give this one a try.
