So I have lately been thumbing through the X-Box Live Arcade section to see what games are available, check out some trial games to see if the $5-$10 is worthy for the game, and so on and so forth. I came across Yaris, saw that it was free, and immediately downloaded it with some level of excitement. As I was in the menu screen and saw that I even had some customizable options as far as type of car, wheels, weapons, and more, and got even more excited. So I started the game...folks, this is where everything went downhill. The graphics, simply put, are ugly and boring...the term "gray area" would apply in a more literal sense here, for that is what this game is. Were the designers hell bent on using as little creativity with this game as possible? Am I ever going to come to grips with the crosshairs being as choppy to control as any game I have ever played? Are the controls for the vehicle ever going to become comfortable? Is a vehicle like a Yaris really worth its own game? Am I ever going to waste more than the 10 minutes of my life that I have already wasted on this game? Alright...so maybe this game isn't so much of a gray area...because most of those questions have a pretty obvious and straight-forward answer (namely the last two). There is not much more to say about this game other than the fact that it is trash, and you should do everything in your power to avoid actually wasting the time it takes to download and play this game for yourself. The only redeeming isues, you might ask? The fact that it is free...that's about it. "So what about those customizable options that you spoke of early in this review," you may find yourself asking; you have to play this game for some measure of time in order to unlock those options, and believe I have demonstrated here how and why that would not be worth anything...because in the end, you are only spending time on and opening up options in what is easily one of the worst games that I have played in some time. However, if you do find yourself playing this game in the near future, you should find yourself an insightful and intelligent friend with a clipboard, lay on his couch for an hour or so, and see if the two of you can discern the deep-seeded issues that are causing you to waste away in such a manner. (I was going to give this game a 0.5, with the half point going towards the free aspect, but the slider would not let me go below 1.0)

In a world of looping tubes, where symbolic icons of gasoline and driving hazards rule the streets, one brand of car stands up to fight against the tyranny with a hybrid engine and a hood-mounted laser tentacle. Wait...w... Read Full Review
Yaris is a game that can truly grow on, yet you'll find many people out there hate this game with a passion. First off its not big game at all being around 20MB which isn't much, even for an arcade game(For any readers ... Read Full Review
