Yoshi's Universal Gravitation is one of the few games to use the GBA tilt control features. I found this as a GBA ROM on Emuparadise. The game's story is simple. Bowser and his troops are attacking Yoshi's Island when a spirit called Hongo seals Bowser in the Forbidden Book. The idiot also sealed Yoshi in there, so Yoshi has got to go and stop Bowser while going through missions as well. Honestly, I think this game is a piece of sh*t! and here's why...
The missions
The missions make Yoshi do various things like avoid enemies, collect a certain amount of coins or get to the goal in a certain amount of time. These missions start off as super easy, but then in the later worlds, the missions suffer from a huge difficulty spike, making them unbearable. What's worse is that they put in double missions, which make you do 2 missions for one Happiness Medal! One F**king Happiness Medal! You don't even get one each, it's just ONE!! Nintendo made a fatal error in the way the missions were structured, as they are just too easy or too frustrating!
The soundtrack
In a nutshell, the soundtrack is so goddamn awful in this game. I have never heard music that sounds this bad, but at least it isn't as bad as Yoshi's New Island's music, which sucks SUPER ass! I do not need to go in-depth with how bad the soundtrack is, other than it is horrible.
The graphics
I have seen better looking GBA games than this one! The graphics for this game are really grainy and poor for a GBA title. This makes the graphics in Sonic R look much better than this game's graphics. Hell, even a NES game looks much better in quality than this game! There is no excuse for these kinds of graphics, despite the GBA's limitations.
The controls
With the bad tilt controls, this game gave me bad memories of Sonic Lost World 3DS, where you had to use tilt controls for certain Wisps and the Special Stages. The Ball Yoshi power-up in particular is the biggest reason why I hated the controls of this game. This game was better off as a normal GBA game, as Nintendo clearly implemented the tilt controls poorly into this game, which is a shame because WarioWare: Twisted and Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble had better controls than this crap!
The game length
Yoshi's Universal Gravitation is far too short of a game, as I breezed through most of the missions, but because of the double missions bullsh*t, it becomes far too tedious and not worth a second playthrough. At first, the game is as short as Super Mario Land, but then the game starts to drag in the later stages due to a retarded difficulty spike.
Overall, this game had potential, but with all of these issues, this is by far the worst Yoshi game I have ever played in my life! I would rather play Mario and Yoshi or Sonic Lost World 3DS over this crap! I highly recommend you stay away from this game if you haven't played it. At least see some gameplay footage of it, but you should not play the game!
