Agreed, best to get out of the house and move around, but this is a good second choice to that.
As for the excercises, they're heavy on aerobic but you will work the free weights till your heart's content, so it's a good workout for both strenght and cardio.
At the beggining you will make a profile and test your cardio, flexibility, etc, so the program will adapt to your conditions and your fitness level.
Also, on the beggining of each workout and at some points during, your trainer will ask how are you feeling, and adapt to that.
The workout is for both men and women.
