If your a die hard fan of the series or just getting into it, this is a good game to start with.
Plot: I don't remember what it is but you basically need to duel and collect really rare or powerful cards to win the fights with your opponents. You also have to beat them each. Also on the way, looking for the 5 cards of exodia.
Gameplay: The rules of DDS are not much different form the actual game itself. You still have 8,000 lp (lifepoints) and 40 cards. Each card either being a monster (your attacking cards), effect cards(cards that are monsters with special attacks), Magic Cards, and Trap Cards. You will also (if you have seen the show or read anything about the game) that there is some characters straight form the various decks around the game, like Kaiba, Yu Gi, Mai, etc. You will also notice straight off the bat that if you go for fighting with low cards only up to a 900 you are probably going to need to buy some actual cards. In real life. Which (on most of the old cards like Blue Eyes) you can look at that 8 digit code at the bottom of the card to import it's data into your game and allowing you to use it. As long as you have a high enough duelist level and enough capacity to keep the card in your deck. After each fight, you will need to win 5 times on all the other first 5 to advance to the next level. After your victory you get 2 things. A card to keep and a card part. There is a mode in the game that allows you to create your won cards out of 2 parts. You can even use these cards in your deck. But after the first 5 things get tricky. You start fighting some of the more cheap duelists like Seeker, Rex, Kaiba, and Weevil. Graphics: Well they are pretty bad but it's a GBC! What do you expect. At least some of the cards look as they would in the real game.
Audio: Not to well since there really isn't any sound at all.
Music: Some of the music ties in withe fights and situations your in. Some are actually pretty good while some are annoying.
Conclusion: You could call it more of a collecters item than a game. IT still offers some time to play it though with some decent hours of gameplay. 7.7
