Yu Yu Hakusho - follow the series through the Dark Tournament.

I think I expected too much from this game. I had this game since it released and I wanted something to do until Budokai 3 released. I was hoping for something that would represent the anime and its fast paced fighting, bad ass characters, awesome moves and stunning visuals. Needless to say I was disappointed. The game play is not what I expected at all. The difficulty of the game is bizarre. The lowest setting is not hard, the AI is just cheap and on the hardest setting the game is not challenging at all other than the game is bias to a select number of characters and each character has between 10 or 12 combos which are just derived from a core of other combos. Basically it is like they just tack every technique to where you end up with just one really long combo to where if you master that one move you have mastered that character’s ultimate move. The visuals are clips take from the series in sporadic order. The sound of the game is the high point, but unfortunately the game play battles are rather silent and the victory screen is also dead silence other than the roar of the crowd. I kind of wish the characters would trash talk after the fight. I can’t really say that this game is at all what it was capable of being, but if you feel you want to check it out…rent it. Unfortunately to say, I can’t recommend it.
