I don't understand why not very many like it, it's one of the best Zelda games ever!

User Rating: 6.7 | Classic NES Series: Zelda II: The Adventure of Link GBA
I first played this game on the NES, I didn't get that far, until I got it on Gameboy Advance. I fell in love with the game, because when I had played it on the NES, I didn't know what I was doing. I played it for a while, and beat it a few times. It truly is a great sequel, and it is somewhat underrated. Here is my review:

This second Zelda adventure brings something new to the series. It uses RPG elements of leveling up and raising up your attack, health, etc. It also introduces a new overworld and some new great music. When you touch an overworld enemy you go to a sidescrolling 2D screen where you can jump, attack baddies, and more. Overall, this is a must-buy for any Zelda veteran, fanboy, or adventure fan.

The graphics will be reviewed as of NES's standards. The graphics when you are in a 2-D battle are excellent for the NES. The overworld graphics are average but they are still detailed. The dungeon graphics are also great. They are in 2-D sidescrolling too. Link is very detailed, and the enemies and bosses look great. Take Horsehead for example, he is very detailed and above NES standards. But on GBA, well. Some work needs to be done.

I love the music, but it repeats to much. The overworld music is excellent, and the game deserves to have a soundtrack, but the song just keeps repeating. The SFX are good too, like the shooting noise of Link's sword for example, sounds good. And so does the SFX on other parts. Besides the music repeating flaw, the rich music of this game deserves to be noticed.

I played this game through a few times, (3 to be exact.) But on the last time it wasn't half as fun. I love replaying games like Ocarina of Time and the original Legend of Zelda, but this one doesn't quite have the value that the others have. But then again, some games you'll only play once, then put away for good.

Extra: (Doesn't count on overall score.)
Control: Easy to use, and now you can jump with the A button!
Story: Okay, here is the storyline, Zelda gets put to eternal sleep by Ganon and his minions. You must travel to different towns and dungeons, (some named after the sages from O.O.T.) to try to find Ganon to release the spell on Zelda.

The Five for tilt is only because it is a port.
