A good game thats insanely hard

Zelda 2: the Adventure of Link is one of the few games that i remember from my early childhood that were unbeatable. I have only a few hazy memories of the game all thoe long years ago, the yellow path amoungst Hyrule, the black enemies springing from the field, and of course, Ganons appearance at 'gameover'. 15 years later i have replayed this game and defeated it. It kept me busy and humbly entertained for at least 15 hours; quite a long time considering most 1980's games can be beaten in one. The puzzles that each town, region and temple have keep the game interesting. the Items obtained and collected throughout the game allow for an interesting anticipation; keeping the player wondering what will be next. the game will enthral its players in intense sword battles, quorky puzzles, and quick side stories.
Making this game less entertaining is its insane difficulty. as the player you start out with three 'lives'. when you run out you get game over, but you start over at the north palace, with the progress you left off with, so essentially, your lives are infinite. although, the constant dying and no-saving will make traveling hyrule time after time monotinous and, at times, repeatedly dying from flying skeletal heads that shoot fire will be infinitley frustrating.
Although this game is extremely challanging it is rewarding in its accomplishment. so, for fans of the Zelda series or one seeking an old-school rpg/dungeon crawler i'd recomend it.
