This game is NOT bad!!

Well, where to begin? First off, this game is not bad. Seriously, it's not bad, but it's not perfect either. What keeps it from perfection is it's difficulty. Overall, what we've got here is a very fun game that too many people judge by it's cover.

Gameplay:

Gameplay in this game is a lot like Zelda 2: Sidescrolling action. However, the major difference is the controls, which I will go into in a moment. Personally, I like the way this game plays.

Controls:

The controls are complicated and hard to get used to at first, but with practice and patience, you WILL get used to them. Up on the control stick makes Zelda jump, while holding down on it and pressing button 2 opens the inventory. Confused yet? You shouldn't be. It's simple once you get used to it.

Story:

I like this game's story. King Harkinian (The King of Hyrule), goes to a land called Gamelon to aid it's Duke, Onkled, but when he doesn't return within a Month's time, Zelda sends Link to find him, but then Link ends up missing too, leaving Zelda and her helpful hint-giver, Impa, to go and find both of them. Unique, isn't it? Well, unique for a Zelda game anyway.

Unique things about this particular Zelda Game:

It has voice acting, and Link can finally talk! Yay!

It has FMV Cut-Scenes, which I think are a welcome addition to the series.

The Final Boss can't be defeated with physical strength. You need to use your head to beat him.

Some facts about this game:

This Zelda game was actually developed by Animation Magic, not Nintendo.

Nintendo actually provided little input during the game's development, which allowed the developers to show they're creativity.

This game has a twin called "Link: The Faces of Evil".

Final Word:

Overall, this is an awesome game that doesn't get the respect it deserves, because instead of paying attention to the great gameplay, the critics only payed attention to the cutscenes, which they thought were awful. For that matter, they probably never even played the game.

Thank you for taking the time to read my review of Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon. I hope you give this great game a chance and learn to enjoy it.
