Zombie Fun and Pixel Blood!!
It's art style is a throwback to the games of old with plenty of pixels, characters and weapons to choose from. The control scheme is simple enough using one joystick to aim and the other to move. An important note if your trying to play with certain arcade joysticks. Other then that you can equip different weapons to the d-pad by bringing up the inventory, and new ones can be purchased between rounds at the "shop".
It is a whole lot of fun when you get 3-4 people going on it as well. An awesome Co-op game in my book, and I'm always looking for more of those. Its interestingly familiar to the widely popular, Nazi Zombies game mode from the CoD franchise. This is essentially the same idea, but boiled down to 8-bit and without the need to rebuild barriers, or activate goofy teleporter systems. I enjoy the simplicity of the game, as well as the challenge, and most importantly the fun.
I cant get over the art style because I started playing games back on the original NES and this is so well done its quite an appreciable homage to those days.
The difficulty ramps up nicely as the levels progress, and there are even a few surprises in-store for the unlikely hero's. All in all it's most definitely worth the 80 Microsoft points, I can almost certainly guarantee you wont be disappointed. Hopefully we will see more from these Dev's in the future.
