To be honest with you, I only bought Zone of the Enders for the Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty demo. I didn't expect ZOE to be all that good, but it sure did prove me wrong. The game has some minor problems that need to be addressed, but it has high potential. The gameplay is quite addictive. As soon as you begin combat you are thrust into a battle between machines. Machines with... swords? What could be better? Not only can these machines use a variety of gunfire, they also have the ability to fight in close range using swords. It's a unique feature and holds a high stand within the game. ZOE's story is adequate for the type of game that Konami produced. Although it can occasionally leave you bored, it is enough to satisfy the player to continue on. ZOE is set on a space colony orbitting Mars. The colony has been recently taken over and you, Leo, have the mission to return an Orbital Frame known as Jehuty, to some of the last remaining colonists in the station. Jehuty is a critical part of the revolution to return the space station to it's former self and rid all the intruders from the area. Zone of the Enders is a great game to play overall. There's not all that much to say about it, you merely have to go and see for yourself.
