The show itself took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Hollywood, one of the most famous venues in southern California. It's hosted shows like the Grammys and Academy Awards, while Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen, and Jimi Hendrix have all performed there.

Uncovered features all the biggest names in Final Fantasy's development and was hosted by Kinda Funny's Greg Miller and Tim Gettys

It's been a long time coming for Final Fantasy XV. The game was originally announced years ago as Final Fantasy Versus XIII. It was later was re-named Final Fantasy XV and shifted from last-generation consoles to current platforms. The game's main concept, world, and story were kept intact during the transition, though there have been some changes.

@freedom01: I don't think you have to worry about it, i just refreshed the site and for PS4 it said "waiting list". so i think if you made your purchase than you are alright. unless something crazy happens of course. But I think when they are out, they don't let you order so I'm pretty sure we are both good. : )

crazy it took PS4 less than an hour to sell out

@freedom01: look on the bright side, you won't get charged until 9/30. So toss an extra $50 aside for the next 6 months and you won't feel a thing when they hit your account.

@Jdzspace: so far I got PS VR bundle, FFXV Ultimate Collectors, and random import games and local retail games (btw its a very hefty amount of games).....I'll go cry in the corner for a while then come back refreshed

@freedom01: lol. I just have this game, Persona and Uncharted on the docket this year. Pick up the PS4K when it comes out, and that's my year. i'm going to wait on the PS VR.....I have my Galaxy Gear VR and it's cool, but not worth spending that much money on. at least not yet, but we'll see how it turns out.

@freedom01: i tried to use paypal, and it gave me an error. so i had to go the card route, i wonder if that's why. ....easier to confirm with the bank or something like that. i got the confirmation almost immediately after sending customer service that email though.

@Jdzspace: most likely that is the reason. I feel I should have went with the CC payment, but if I was able to get a confirmation from Paypal with an invoice number I think I'm secured for the Collectors Edition...I hope

@Jdzspace: XD, glad we were able to secure our copies. Took them quite long though to send out the confirmation, maybe a little problem trying to send out 30,000 emails at once, since it sold out within less than an hour

my wife is going to be pissed! I thought it was only going to be like Uncharted collector's edition.......but of course, it was not. I might have to put off getting PS4K this year due to this edition. lol.

I never even considered I didn't make the cut.....but i haven't gotten the confirmation email yet, so .....maybe it's all for naught

I was expecting maybe around $170, but as soon as I saw the price, I felt that sting in me calling me out "you must be really crazy if you are going to buy that", well...I decided to be the crazy and just purchased it right away....if I get the confirmation....all I hope is that there is no other games that I want on September.....

@xantufrog: yeah, and that doesn't include shipping. if you want to have it the day it comes out (the next day) add another $45 to that. it's over 3 bills after tax no matter which way you go.

@freedom01: yeah, there are only 30,000 made, worst case scenario you'll probably make your money back on resale......but if not. it's the first next gen final fantasy, i couldn't just get the standard edition like i did with 13, 13-2 and 14

@freedom01: I just had to give love to Square for taking their time and being really ambitious. and after Bravely Default, I think they have some momentum going for them. so i had to support them.

I can't wait! If the game holds together from beginning to end, it will have been a gaming miracle. Also, the very last announcement XV really did it for me. If air traversal is in, I'm definitely in.

Yeah I literally could not care less about the movie or the anime.

Is the game being confirmed for PC or not? What about the demo? Is the release date September 30, or Q2 2034?

No one cares about any of this other stuff. Release the game and if it doesn't suck maybe people will care about the tie-ins.

I just want to know if the demo is coming out on PC or not so I can decide whether to play a little of it tomorrow, or continue ignoring the game like I have been for the last decade.

Aaaaaand I just stopped caring.

I am not purchasing this on PS4 or XB1. I have both, and I have no interest in buying this game for one of those systems, only to have to buy it again a few years from now after these systems go dark.

Oh well, I've spent the last decade not caring about the game, I can spend a few more years not giving a damn.

@origamibomber: I am aware, but there are still games that take a long time to get to PC if they ever do. Final Fantasy is also one of those franchises that takes a long time to go to PC traditionally.

Nobody should expect it to go directly to PC on launch, nevermind getting all butt hurt when it doesn't.

that goes with the territory of choosing that particular gaming option
