AOC Is Streaming Among Us Right Now, Watch Here

AOC is playing Among Us with Canadian parliament member Jagmeet Singh and other guests on Friday.

For the second time ever, US Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is streaming Among Us right now. Following her record-breaking stream, AOC is taking part in another stream, this time one organized by Jagmeet Singh, leader of the Canadian New Democratic Party. The stream is live right now on Twitch, and you can watch it for yourself below. It's already cracked the 100k viewer mark.

The stream is ongoing, and it features well-known video game streamers such as HasanAbi, Northernlion, and XQC, who, notably, was recently banned temporarily from Twitch. That was due to a cheating incident in a recent Fall Guys tournament.

Now Playing: AOC Plays Among Us - Best Moments From The Stream

Today's stream began at 4 PM PT (7 PM ET). We don't know how long it will run for, but her first stream lasted for several hours as she worked to encourage people to get out and vote. While that game was broadcast on multiple Twitch channels, AOC's channel alone saw peak concurrent viewers top a whopping 430,000.

Plans for a stream were announced on Thanksgiving day, as Singh publicly invited AOC, Northerlion, and HasanAbi to take part in a stream. AOC replied on Tiwtter, saying she was in for the Friday night stream.

This is the first time that Singh has organized a stream, but it's an increasingly popular way for politicians to connect with constituents, especially this year with so many stuck inside due to COVID-19. Last time, AOC streamed alongside US House Representative Ilhan Omar, and viewers were encouraged to make a voting plan. This stream is, of course, happening on the other side of the US presidential election.

@asultana121x: It works in Sweden. They have a crazy welfare net, social heathcare, and free higher education. On top of that, they have a strong entrepreneurial class and a high number of billionaires per capita.

Why couldn't that work here?

Edit: Oh, if we're talking about Defund the Police, I agree. Defund the Police is stupid. It's a good idea, with very bad, bad bad slogan.

@VANGUARD003: Socialism only works if the world was in a utopia and at peace with each other completely. That will never happen. Plus, the Left wants to force all these things on the population which by doing so makes one a Communist. It's the same thing with this whole diversity and inclusion nonsense, they are forcing it on us whether we like it or not and that creates anger and division.

Things are supposed to happen cause the human race wants it to happen in their hearts and minds, not a forced scenario where we have to roll with it or else......

Not trying to be confrontational, just clarifying.

If that IS what you're saying, I agree. Democrats have done a dogs*** job marketing these policies to the public. And mostly the issue is that most democrats don't believe in them. They profit off the system as widely as republicans, if to a lesser extent. AOC is not one of those folks, though. She's in there fighting for systems that will be good for this country, even if she doesn't speak well about it.

@Rufus_the_rat: Defund the police is stupid, and critical race theory is weird. But the less race-oriented stuff is useful. Nobody can explain to me why big social programs don't work here when they work everywhere else, so if you can I invite you to.

@VANGUARD003: I don't have a problem with big social programs in many cases where that's the most efficient solution. As you said, the less race-oriented economic side of socialism certainly has value. But the problem is economic socialism is inseparable nowdays from the horrible and weird social agenda of the radical Left because it's all being pushed down people's throats as one package that has to be accepted unconditionally. That totalitarian censorship mindset of the modern left, which is trying to take apart society at its weakest links like race in order to push communism, has shifted me from being a leftist all my life to someone on the center-right of the spectrum. Anyway, thanks for reading my message and have yourself a nice day.

@VANGUARD003: claiming that they work in other places is untrue. Decades ago when immigration came in at a slower pace there seemed to be little issue but in the last 20 years the rise in crime, high unemployment and strain on public services have all been caused by the misunderstanding that it’s ok to bring in this many people. If you look at polling data from countries like Sweden you will find that the public isn’t ok with this and data shows that it isn’t sustainable over a long period of time. As far as the US goes, Politicians like AOC have been trying to chip away at our immigration laws for years. Promising free health care, access to services that taxpaying Americans don’t have, free college, and now a pathway to citizenship for those who broke the law and snuck into this country. Also let’s not forget her little stunt on the border a few years back.That sort of behavior is dangerous and irresponsible.

@Rufus_the_rat: FDR instituted social programs out the a**, and he's considered one of the greatest American presidents of all time.

Did the "New Deal" cure the depression? No. But he was dedicated to experimentation at a time when things looked hopeless. He said, "Hey, we have to try." That's good leadership. And when everybody else is saying, "No, you're stupid," it takes a special kinda person to get that done.

People say he extended the depression. Perhaps that's true.

I doubt the New Deal caused any lasting damage to the economy. If anything, it bolstered it. The Glass-Steagall Act prevented banks from using people's monies in high-risk investments. They started using loopholes to get around it in the 80s, and in 1999 it was repealed fully. 9 years later, first great depression since The Great Depression.

@VANGUARD003: For what it's worth, I think FDR was a great president. He was the correct man for the time who put in a badly needed social safety net. Things have gone downhill on the Left in the decades since the 40s as communist thinking has spread from the Soviet Bloc and China into the universities here in the West, however. There is a major difference between FDR democratic socialists and the totalitarian wokeists of today. FDR suffered from polio which left him with a real physical disability. The woke of today invent imaginary disabilities to justify their ideological takeover.

@Rufus_the_rat: Sure, but neither her nor those two things listed are parts of communism. Communism is a buzz word used to turn off ppl through extremism. America is so afraid of communism/socialism, they've gone completely the other way, and when someone like AOC comes along and suggests something like alternative solutions for police handling things they shouldn't, suddenly they're communists. It shuts down even the remote possiblity of discussing any issue facing American citizens and closes off ears and mouths.

@Pierce_Sparrow: A part of what you said is true. Political enemies tend to make each other seem worse than they are to sway public opinion and that does block conversation. But to suggest that AOC isn’t doing the exact same thing is a misunderstanding. She uses identity politics and claims that we are a racist country. I remember a few years back when she told people that the world would end in twelve years unless we had something like the Green New Deal in place. I also remember her going to the border and misrepresenting what was taking place down there in an attempt to take down the current administration. Defund the Police and Black Lives Matter movements are also things that she endorses even though they have shown very little evidence to actually help solve problems. She’s a phony just like the rest. Maybe worse really because of this victim verses oppressor mentality her followers have adopted.
