Battlefield 1 Has Most Liked Trailer Ever on YouTube, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Most Disliked

Battlefield 1 has over one million likes on YouTube, which makes it the most liked trailer of all time.

Battlefield 1 was announced last week with a trailer, and if you're wondering if people like it or not, then we've got an answer for you: it's eclipsed one million likes on YouTube, which makes it the most liked trailer of all time. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was announced a week prior, and... well, it's not quite as popular. The futuristic shooter has surpassed one million dislikes, making it the most disliked trailer of all time (via Forbes).

Battlefield 1, at the time of publishing, has just over 1,107,000 likes, slotting it just behind Beyonce's Drunk in Love music video. Its also got a positive like:dislike ratio with just over 20,000 negative votes. It's worth noting that Battlefield 1 has not been added to the linked YouTube playlist, so this information may not be completely accurate.

On the other end of the spectrum in more than just name, Infinite Warfare sits at nearly 1,400,000 dislikes. Not only does this make it the most disliked trailer of all time, it makes it the fifth most disliked video in YouTube history. It's ahead of Miley Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball" and closing in on "Gangnam Style" by Psy. Again, it's worth noting these numbers may not be 100% accurate.

For comparison, the official trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has just over 660,000 likes, while its teaser brought in over 144,000.

YouTube users aren't the only ones who 'like' the trailer. Infinite Warfare developer Infinity Ward posted to its Facebook page, saying "It's a great reveal trailer. Kudos to the DICE team." Additionally, Infinity Ward's director of communications, Eric Monacelli, tweeted congratulations to DICE and said, "Great song choice, looks superb with interesting mechanics teased."

GameSpot attended a Battlefield 1 reveal event last week, where we learned about the game's multiplayer, which reemphasizes its land-air-and-sea gameplay with swords, biplanes, and battleships.

Lead designer Danny Berlin also discussed the single-player, which he says "will more accurately reflect Battlefield's open sandboxes" and offer "much more choice and variety than [it's] done before." Talking to GamesBeat, he revealed that the story will follow multiple characters including the Bedouin woman warrior from the trailer.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, on the other hand, may be set in the future, but its developer says that the story's inspiration comes from war, not science fiction. However, Infinity Ward says the space setting allows for some unique features like "crazy environments," zero-gravity combat, and spaceship dogfights.

In addition to the futuristic warfare, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will be remastered and released with premium editions of the game that range in price from $80-$120. This will be the only way to get the remastered Modern Warfare, as it won't be sold on its own.

Battlefield 1 releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 21. You can get three-day early access through EA and Origin Access on Xbox One and PC or by purchasing a deluxe edition of the game.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 4. The PS4 will have timed-exclusivity on the game's DLC because of a deal that started with last year's Black Ops III.

If they have jetpacks and double jumps in COD, it will be another skip year for me unless COD4 becomes a standalone option.

i smell a conspiracy here.... how much did ea pay for all the likes? even the shittiest game trailer of all time doesn't deserve 1m dislikes... i couldn't care any less about cod as a franchise, but at least they showed real gameplay footage with their trailer and took risks with all the sci-fi elements.

@Xristophoros: They have been taking "risks" with their sci-fi elements for 6 straight games and finally the people are fed up with it. Unfortunately, they are going to continue to sell well thanks to COD4 bundle and will be able to continue this fabricated success with bundling Modern Warfare 2 with their 2017 release. I want COD4 but will not give in to them if they do not release it as a standalone sometime after launch.

I learned a lot about 369th Harlem Hell fighters. Great history lesson shows how black soldiers whipped ass in the trenches and the racism they faced back in America. Good good EA I got my pre-order ready

@calstatebadboy: Looked them up today wanted to see what it was all about, from what i read they held their own winning all sorts of awards from france all the while not being supplied with enough men or provisions over the course of the war, id say the best honor is the name the enemy gave them hell fighters is badass, and a great sign of respect.

@masscrack: well it appeals to anyone who loves history more over missing history. It's a shame that black people were treated like crap in the USA compared to Europe at that time. Also the Germans feared these Hell Fighters. I read a story today about Henery Willams was kicking major German ass with his bare hands and even received the highest medal in France but was denied a Medal of Honor back in the racist USA. These men were the best like the "Red Tails" even the white racist pilots wanted to be escorted by the black pilots in their P-51. Best fighter group that never lost a bomer and they say black is inferior. LOL. don't believe the hype! First people to walk the planet in Africa. It sucks when the history books lie to you. These Harlem Hell Fighters were the first Americans in WW1 and the best. ITs not my demographic it's an American demographic. Henery Willams was one of the best Hell Fighters he was beating German men with his hands and club. He took 21 bullets and America left him penny less and never received any thing for serving his country he only got the credit in France.

I like battlefield a lot more than COD but my nostrils are burning from all the horse dung that is the sudden dice/ea love.

Beyond that, I thought both trailers looked good.

The infinite reveal was pretty underwhelming. Captaining a space ship ME style and space dog fighting is a nice idea, but essentially its bolt-ons to the standard COD formula.

Its telling that people are more excited about the modern warfare remake, back when COD still had an identity. CoD badly needs to be rebooted.

Battlefield1 on the other hand looks genuinely awesome.

@Mirimon78: Bad Company I and II's multiplayer was the best to me. Loved me some massive destructble environments and raining down user controlled guided missiles (BC1) and mortar strikes (BC2) with the Recon class. Perhaps a bit overpowered which is why they kept dumbing the recon class down with each new release, but it sure was fun to guide a missile from 10,000 feet onto a moving tank.

@brewskimi: it sounds as though you never played 1942.. bc was a dumbed down, shallow arcade game that only took part of the title in name...

42 had it all, mortar, artillery, skud missiles even...or tie fighters, or stargate stuff. Battle ships, destroyers, subs, aircraft carriers.. the vehicle mechanics set the bar and have not been seen since...the mods.. oh.. man... dc mod, THAT is how you mod....

@Mirimon78: I played it on the computer when in first came out but given I was an inexperience 13 year old gamer at the time, I didn't play the game to its full potential. I enjoyed the the Xbox Arcade release of it in College but that was just a preview of the full game essentially.

@gamerx614: Forget about it, no. What would you have us do, boycott them because they made the game not to the standards of some? As much as I love the series and find the latest entry to be a disappointment from my own expectations, I really would rather not stop purchasing other products from a developer whose games I enjoy.

The only other options are petitions and making them aware of such(e-mails, feedback through various sources, and giving criticism somewhere on the internet). Of all those options I am quite sure it is being done, however probably not enough to have them change the way Battlefront will be if it does indicate possible improved sales. The next entry will prove whether or not they wish to truly improve Battlefront, such as by those people not pre-ordering or buying shortly after release. One entry doesn't tell them if what they are currently doing will bring people back until that time comes again and people vote on the series if it is worth it or not to buy.

@Smosh150: You raise very good points. For all it's short comings I still love Battlefront - simply it's star wars and I can pick it up for an hour, have a blast and switch it off. It could have been so much better with the depth Battlefield or the past Battelfronts offered though. What will be interesting to see is when BF1 launches in Oct 2016 what happens to the last 1 or 2 DLC packs for battlefront. I'm guessing they will tank pretty hard unless they are amazing additions. I for one won't be looking back to battlefront unless BF1 is a total flop. Let's hope the next installment of Battlefront has a lot more depth to it. If they do that then there will be a lot of happy people.

@burtonboy05: Same here, unless Battlefront in the next sequel offers a lot more than DICE's first entry than I probably won't be getting it unless the price drops very low(I got the current one for $30 so that was reasonable enough for what we got as it was still enjoyable. Though it wasn't the official pricing).

I think I am done with the current Battlefront for good to be honest, it was fun for a good while yet I am quite bored of it now. As long as Battlefield 1 will provide me the enjoyment and longevity of BF4 then I will be quite satisfied with DICE at the moment.

Just seems like a lot of bandwagoning. "If you hate Call of Duty, for whatever reason--even NO reason--then you MUST like Battlefield! And if you hate Battlefield, you're just a 12-year-old Call of Duty fanboy with no life!"

The hype and hate trains have left the station, woo-woo!

Those comments on IW video are so hateful, it's like people are taking a game trailer personally. Millennials have such shitty personalities.

Only thing this really proves is that social media can create a dangerous level of groupthink, most people who gave it a thumbs down probably had no intention of buying it in the first place they just went onto video to hate on it. I mean it's CoD people should know what to expect it was underwhelming but did not look like worst game of all time.

@mi_hung_lo: So far behind? Infinite Warfare is not a direct sequel to BO3, and BO3 isn't a direct sequel to Advance Warfare. There's no one story that connects all three, therefore, he can't possibly be "behind". Your suggestion that he should play the previous two games first is like suggesting that someone should play Madden '14 and Madden '15 before they play Madden '16. It makes absolutely no sense.

Also, he did not say that the reason he's buying CoD this year is because he didn't play the last two. Don't know how you got that from his comment.

You've commented twice on this article, and both times, you've demonstrated a truly remarkable level of stupidity. You're either an idiot, or you need to stop commenting when you're so stoned out of your mind that you lose your grasp of basic English.
