Battlefield 3 Limited Edition details leaked?

This military games come out too quick, im not finshed with Black Ops or BF2 yet. So I will not be buying anything from this genre.

No thanks, Bad Company 2's not that old yet and still has my Battlefield need covers. This is a cash-in on both Battlefield 2s hype and Bad Company 2s success. It's too soon for a fully fledged release. "It's almost impossible to say one is better then the other", no it's not. Stop trying to be everybody's friend.

For the people that want this to "kill" cod... Cod and Bf are 2 very different games, Bf2/3 even more so than Badcompany! Cod is basiclly an "arena" type fps with a "modern" theme. Battlefield 2/3 on the other hand (and to an extent Bc too) are "Warsims", where the maps are huge and organic (aka they are not made to be a perfect fps arena with purpose snipe spots and bottlenecks). Its almost impossible to say one is better then the other, if for example you hate having to run "miles" to find the action, only to get taken out by a strafing jet, then cod is actually alot better. If you find arena based fps boring and un "war" like, then you will defantly prefur Bf3!

I really hope they delay this game until 2012. Bad Company 2 only came out last year and say what you will about it but there's no way DICE is big enough to have been working on BC2, Medal of Honor MP AND Battlefield 3 without something suffering. Maybe that's why MoH's MP sucked so bad? I just hope DICE isn't pushing this out to compete with CoD. I want the absolute best for BF3. I want to have my mind blown out my ass upside down backwards in astonishment. :o

Strike at Karkand was loads of fun, even though being an attacker stunk. Talk about claymores.

@The_crapgamer They will add that into this game. Even without it, it will be epic.

It better beat cod this or Crysis 2 have to beat that annoying glitchy repetitive game with nothing but zombies keeping it alive.

The three original city maps updated for BF3 would be awesome. I could take or leave Jalalabad.

@Bluraybear So they give us free map packs throughout the months, and most recently a $15 expansion that adds new weapons, vehicles, character models, and maps. But you're still not satisfied with the support they gave Bad Company 2? You don't deserve to own a console if you're complaining after all that. And for the record, I never experienced any lag or bugs. The game runs beautifully.

I'd say for a lot of people Black Ops is there last Call of Duty game and for me it's the same thing. I'm so bored of that game now only if my friends ask me to play with them do I even get on it now. So here's hoping Battlefield 3 does something really badass like have a ton of destructibility like in BC2 combined with the huge 64 player body count. That my friends will make something magical.

@scorchingitup Sorry I dont think anyone will ever win as long as they keep making CoD and BF the war wont end.

Unless they add the ability to go prone, I'm out. I enjoyed BF2MC and you could go prone, dropshot or whatever. Then with the Bad Company games they took out that ability. I stay away from those types of games.

@Frame_Dragger There are a ton of people who like military shooters specifically like me. I can't wait for the next one. I would say I predominantly play games like MOH, BF series, and COD just because they are modern military shooters. I like other games too, but I understand why people like them so much.

Black ops will be my last Call of Duty. Unless MW3 does something different from the past Call of Duty's, I'm not gonna keep paying for the same thing over and over.

I'd say I'm tired of this franchise, but BF2 was amazingly good. Still, I'm getting burned out on these games, and I'm ready to play a little more a la Vanquish or Bulletstorm. These consoles and PCs can do a lot... why are we still firing shotguns and rifles?

ive never had more fun on multiplayer ever than BFBC2 and that goes for everyone else, they just havnt played it yet lol....no really there is definitely somthin about BC2 online that just really freakin worked. im buying 3 and wont be disappointed

was already a day 1 buy and a preorder for me, with this being the bonus right away who wouldnt wanna get it :P

It does say at no extra charge. That leads me to believe that it would just be normal $60 for consoles. Either way, I'm getting this.

wait, what bugs? I have felt that BF BC2 has been the smoothest battlefield out ever. I have not had any issues with it, and I play on the PC which comes with the assumption that I will have loads of driver and compatibility issues, and other crashes and what not. But nothing. I play with a community of more than 60 people and none of them have voiced any issues either, and problems always get voiced before any appreciation for a game. Even with vietnam I have had no issues, if anything the servers feel smoother and better paced. I have also played the X360 version, and no issues there either. So its curious to see complain on this iteration of BF, I know the previous ones have given me grief over technical problems....

My opinion gxgxgf. You keep on supporting this kind of trend so it doesn't change. @Jaybro7 PS3, yes. Was great up until MP7 and Vietnam. Lag crept back in and region matching went everywhere. DICE has been kept in the loop by it's community(both Xbox and PS3 owners) and only fixed stats as of late, not addressing the increased lag or regional issues. There are real concerns that gamers should be interested in here. I love the series, I just don't love the deniabilty that there are issues that need addressing. My opinion as a gamer that actually buys the game should mean a lot to these studios.

Uncharted 3, Gears 3, BF3 = no Modern warfare 3 for me :)

Bluraybear - You have a PS3? I'm not turning this into a console war, that's just dumb at this stage - I'm just asking. My friend said that he had BC2 on PS3 (I own a 360) and that it was filled with horrible servers and bugs and stuff. Is that true? The 360 version is pretty much flawless. I've never had any problems with the online or Vietnam. Kinda sucks that they did that to PS3 owners.

This is awesome. Finally, a true sequel to battlefield. I'll be getting this for sure.

Karkand was great, as was Wake (which has been in a few Battlefield titles), Warlord, and Surge were my favorites. Warlord and Surge coming from the first, Special Forces expansion pack.

I'm actually considering buying BF2 again, just so it's more epic when I play Karkand on BF3. :P

After watching the support for BC2 go into the toilet and ruining some aspects of BC2, DICE has ended my support for them. Unacceptable that a game still as fresh(yes, even after a year), and just released Vietnam with bugs as well, is being pushed aside already to rush out BF3. Do they not realize that most of the potential buyers for BF3 are currently playing their game now? They have not created a base of stability that the same things effecting BC2 now with poor region matching, hit detection and lag, won't be hassling their next release. Poor relations with their customers.

Karkand? Hells yes. But I think this will most likely be like Medal Of Honor's "Limited Edition" where all of the first batch of games are considered limited even though it's technically the only form of the game.

@thebrickster007 Usually, the EA games limited editions are free (same price as the normal edition). They are different from collector's edition. The limited edition games are just available in limited time and when they are all sold out, you cannot buy them.

Wonder if their will be an actual collectors edition along with the limited edition...it is nice they give you the L.E. for the same price just because you ordered it early. Autumn can't come soon enough!
