@ SalarianChemist: actually NOTHING has been confirmed by ANYONE about a new DS. Still speculation. Companies are always in communication about future products and partnerships, but many of them are just talk amounting to nothing. In addition, it takes years to create new hardware. don't get ahead of yourself.

Hahahahahah 360 sales= fail. When you are right above PS2 and below an older model DS, something is wrong. Haha.

Damn those software sales are all handhelds barring Wii Fit Plus. I'm actually thinking about Macross Ultimate Frontier.

Nintendo DS absolutely dominated the handheld market. But the amazing thing is that now that we know there is a new DS on the way with an advanced Nividia GPU along with a dual-thumbstick design for first/third person shooters, I think the next DS handheld will dominate the market even more than the current one.

I sold my DS a while ago but now I'm starting to regret it. I would love to be able to play SoulSilver.

just like always nintendo has most games in top 10 and its still impressive on all but 2 games are for handhelds japan really loves there handhelds

nintendo must have some darn good sales guys making ideas for games. i dont mean the quality or anything but what i mean is that 65% of the time nintendo releases 2 pokemon games that are exactly the same with microscopic differences and that makes all the kids go gooo-gaaaah for pokemon.

wow looking at the sales, 8 out of 10 are on nintendo and 2 of 10 are psp. nintendo wins! :)

The Enterbrain hardware chart shows the Wii regaining its top home console position in Japan over the PS3; but in the Media Create chart, it is the reverse with the PS3 keeping its position (currently very slim) since its price-cut last month. We may have to see whether the Wii will regain the top position next week. Dragon Quest IX will eventually pass the four million sale mark in Japan perhaps next week. Strong debut for the recent Shin Megami Tensei game, and strong "legs" for Tomodachi Collection and Love Plus which recently returned to the Top 10.

I still don't get what people find so fascinating with the DSi vs the DS Lite that they would shell out an additional $40 or whatever. As far as I can tell most of the download content for the DSi isn't very good. Maybe if they had a virtual console type system with original Gameboy and Game Gear games I might show a little more interest
