Crytek launches info on Warhead

awesome! Crysis is one of the best FPS games I ever played, can't wait for Crysis Warhead.

Just to clear some things up because it seems alot is unknown to you guys. This is not Crysis 2. It is a stand alone game. Crysis 2 is set for release in 2010. There will be new guns and vehicles. The updated version of the CE2 is supposed to run better than Crysis and look better, so if you already ran it well it will run better now. When Cevat Yerli said no more PC exclusives, He meant no more after the Crysis francise. No game with Crysis in the title will ever make it to a console although they are porting the engine for other games. Thankfully people like Cevat Yerli will not let their vision be compromised to appeal to the masses(multiplatform). He knows he would make 10 times more money but in his words "Crysis as we have seen it would never be possible on a console". Rest easy console scum as they are porting a gimped version of the engine for you. The title of the game is Crysis Apartment, unfourtunately that is as large as the maps could be. P.S. They displayed this new version of their engine running on medium on a $600 computer (I'm sure it had a $180 graphics card though, 8800 GT anyone?)

Crysis wasn't that much of a system resources hogger, it was playable on my friends x800 on low settings and I played it on medium settings with a x1950 and Pentium D at 20fps.. Ran fine looked great. Does look beter though now I have two x1950s and a Core 2 Quad Q6600 xD

they should make search and destroy mod for new crysis and better nuke reaction like it actually effects the ground and water if there would be site for suggestions for it , it would be good.

I thought the 1st Far Cry was better than Crysis as far as story & play. I hope the game actually does give you some options to affect story path as they promised in Crysis. The floating portion/zero grav was lame & the ending glitched so I couldn't complete the game. Less gimmicks, more straight ahead gameplay w/some decision making.

The game seems intersting then the first one . Looks to be more fights.

i hope the story can be longer this time, loooooonger. Wow, more weapon~ cant wait to play it.

Great, Crysis is the best Action game for PC that I have ever played. The graphics are incredible and the options of ammo, speed, strength, weapon and cloaking device make it secound to none in my opinion. Peter5889 Posted Jun 7, 2008 12.27 GMT

PC games = free downloads so PC games makes game companys lose money so that is why PC only games sucks and is stupid? Is that even a ture fact?? What the heck? That is a lot of BS! You can also get multi-platform games off the internet and play them on you PC all you have to do is download a ROM for it. I saw my friend had a lot of PS2 only games on his PC and he got them all for free, and dont even own a PS2! look multi-platform only gamers. all console games can as easly be downloaded for free on a PC, that is bad news for the PS3, 360, and Wii. Plus you can even chip a PS2, X-box, Wii etc.. and just burn the games on to a DVD disc, or just pay like $1.00 for a burn copy. I dont know why a lot of people say PC only games is a stupid idea

Well Crysis didn't give to much info for the game but whit this the game will be more clear and get to know about the aliens for sure! I cant wait to kick some ass!!!! :D

Nomad wasn't the leader. Prophet was the ranking officer in the first Crysis. Can't wait for this, already beat Crysis on Delta difficulty 4 times.

Well this makes sense considering we've been waiting FOREVER for patch 1.3 and the only way they can get things to work (ahem- Co-op!) is by revamping the engine. And I think you're right with that GriffinLord- the original studio is probably working on Crysis 2

I think that it is interesting to see "phsyco's" part of the story, as he does last through the whole game, and you don't really know where he goes till you meet up with him :L lol. So playing his story could make you understand it all a bit more :\. One thing I would say is, I think it would have been bigger news for them to start working on a Crysis 2, but I think they could already be doing that, just in secret if you get me. Cause things like that happen all the time :\. And if you think about it, they are using the new Budapest studio, and I think they still have their original studio, correct me if I'm wrong :L. So the original studio's people could be working on the full sequel to Crysis :S... Maybe :)

Even if they started to milking the franchise I wouldn't complain =)

To acsam12304: I believe I read that they were gonna release the following crytek games on multi platform, as they believe that PC piracy and single platform reliance, resulted in lower sales than possible. I could be wrong though

ctg867 is stupid he's a 360/PS3 gamer not a PC gamer. Just an other platform gamer mad, becuse he cant play one of the best selling PC ONLY games out in the market right now. At first when I saw Crysis at Game Stop I was little on the " I didnt heard of the game it's from EA, so it must suck." But once i played the demo and got a copy of the game i was like" OMFG.. this is a really bad @$$ game i ever played ever in my life. Now with this new Crysis game coming out i wouldnt mind playing this one. =]

Hopefully they employ directx 10.1 and just in time for the new radeon 4800 series too.

If they develop it for the improved engine it should run better than the first game, even without sacrificing visual detail.

It's a stand-alone game. An expansion without the need of owning the original.
