Dark Souls II beta hits PS3 this fall
Namco Bandai confirms closed beta test for upcoming role-playing game scheduled to begin on October 5 in North America and Europe only on PlayStation Network.
Namco Bandai today announced that a closed beta for Dark Souls II will be available for PlayStation 3 gamers beginning October 5 in North America and Europe.
Details about how to register for the Dark Souls II beta will be shared through the official Dark Souls Facebook page starting on September 5.
The Dark Souls II beta will "test players' skill, intestinal fortitude, and their sheer will to survive," according to Namco Bandai. It will feature the "most treacherous" areas of the Dark Souls II world, though Namco Bandai did not provide any specifics.
The Dark Souls II beta was not announced for the Xbox 360 or PC.
Dark Souls II will be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC in March 2014. Versions for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Wii U have not been announced.
Namco Bandai recently said that it will be going in "guns blazing" to market Dark Souls II.
