Diablo 3 PS3/360 Saves Can Transfer to PS4 or Xbox One -- Your Choice

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition players importing characters and saves from last-generation Diablo III can transition from a Sony or Microsoft system, reports Destructoid. This means you can either switch from Xbox 360 to the PlayStation 4, or from PlayStation 3 to Xbox One.

By linking an Xbox Live gamertag or a PSN ID to a Battle.net account, players can import their progress. However, saves can't be transferred between Xbox One and PS4. No reason for this restriction was mentioned, and there was no announcement of a PC-to-current-generation.

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition features the base game, the Reaper of Souls expansion, plus new achievements and trophies. The PS4 version will feature exclusive content based on The Last of Us and Shadow of the Colossus.

Ok so what IS transferred between the 360 to the PS4? Do I start with a level 60 nakid hunter and my progress is as unlocked as my 360 or what? Someone send me a tell to tell me what kind of progress I will obtain for my 360 they are linked but I no longer own it.


So they must have a copy of my char on their servers since they need a copy to make sure I am not cheating.... so what's up blizzard?

day 1 ps4 version for me, cannot wait. I actually just got D3 for 20 bucks on ps3 before i knew there was an upcoming ps4 version. I think i'll wait and trade it towards the ps4 version before i start playing it.

This would be day one easily for my PS4, i'm almost close to buying it as is just for the exclusives. My trepidation comes from not being able to cross save from my pc. If they allow cross save from PC to console, i'm in.

I don't see why they can't everything is server based. Maybe i'm wrong but i'd imagine all they have to do is allow the save to transfer to the console servers.

This will really take advantage of 1080p 60 fps flat screen ps4 good ness. I bought it on the 360 but I'm ready to play this in Full HD now. Ps4 for the win here big time.

You would have the same issues in terms of cross platform saves, you would just have the old save files on your new console. And backwards compatibility would not get your PS3 save file onto your Xbox One or your Xbox 360 save onto your PS4.

Selling last gen games to people with only this next gen system.

I realllllllly hope that Microsoft does this with the Xbox One, it would be realllllly nice to have the arcade games too.

I don't think Sony will be doing this, as their PS Now service will most likely take priority, seems like it would anyway.
