I will get this game for sure. U can't go wrong with an old classic game. U guys should get the Gameboy advance version of this game, if u don't already have it.. has improve graphics and more levels plus new moves

its about damn time they released it damn this will be good, i serioulsy recommend these greats as well, shinobi / double dragon 2 which was just as good they lost it in part 3 / vigilante and maybe the original street fighter tweaked a bit of course cause that game is a real set back if you didnt play it when it first came out and even after you grew up with it was weird one now but oh well i love street figher so i want to see it again some time

While saying Double Dragon is "Taito's" is technically true, the game was designed and created by Technos Japan, Taito only had the license to manufacture and distribute the game in America and Europe. So it seems like a strange choice to mention Taito instead of Technos in this article. It's like saying "Acclaim's Mortal Kombat" and not mention Midway. Taito didn't have anything to do with Double Dragon after the deal for DD1, arcade only. They didn't even handle the NES version.

Ha hah the wii version will not be anywhere near as good as this version and will not have anything new, so don't even atempt to waste your money on the wii versions, they are simply emulations of old consoles versions that are worse than the arcade 99% of the time. Unless they mess it up this version will be the BEst version of the game and Wii will have the old versions with nothing new or improved. If it is on Wi you will get 2 versions and i have them both already right now and can tell you how it is going to be. NES Version Double dragon Graphics do not even match the arcade version and is only 1 player in the main game you will get a player VS player mode to make up for it.]] SEga genesis version, GRpahics are a close match for the arcade you get 2 players sound matches arcade version. Xbox 360 online play, High Def graphic that are better than the arcade online mode and you get this for $5 with the new stuff for the price of 1 NES wii game that would in fact be worse than even the old arcade version. And if you bought the SEGA genesis game on WII you would pay $8 and get nothing new So you can use that little gamepad that is not that big of deal anyway.

Battletoads and double dragon for the SNES is a fantastic game... I have it right now under my bed in prime position (considering how old it is)

I have to agree with HyperMetaDragon,if Mr_Saturn saw what XBLA did with CastleVania SOTN,then it's a sure bet that XBLA can work the same magic with Double Dragon!

So this is the ARCADE version right not the NES version? I believe the version that kid was playing in the wizard was the NES version on those NES arcade machines where u could pick from 3-4 NES games. Also I think I tried to get 50k on that, the kid had it by like mid 3rd level or something and I dont think it was achivable, if it was you had to kill evey person with nothing but repeated drop kicks or something really dumb.

Wrong, Mr_Saturn. 360 arcade versions has leaderboards, co-op, multiplayer, online, regenerated graphics, and much more where as Wii versions have...um...poor emulation?

Is it just me or was this really sudden. I know it was announced a long time ago but never showed up. Now it is like BOOM! Its here!....Yeah 4 bucks is good. I'll be getting this one.

Protip: Simply elbow everybody throughout the entire game. You will be unstopable that way. An option to use one of the baddies would be cool, even if it was just a novelty like the secret characters in Castlevania games are. Imagine plowing through the game with Willy, blowing everyone away with the machine gun, or using Abobo and tossing people around. That would be cool.

Too bad it has unlimited continues so you can bascially finish the entire game in under an hour easy, (more like 30 minutes tops). Oh well, I'll probably get it anyway.
